Blue light LED therapy works by killing Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria that lives below the surface of the skin and is responsible for acne. Blue light has proven to have powerful bacteria-killing ability in the human body as well as in animals, in the laboratory. At Esthetique Twinsanity Medical Spa, we use the technology, Solitone 2500 (created by NASA), a LED light therapy is a painless, relaxing, non-invasive skin-care treatment that has multiple benefits—particularly stimulating collagen and treating mild to moderate acne. Duration of treatment is: 30 minutes per session. Treatment can be taken one or twice a week or a month. For effective result, a series of 6 treatments is recommended.
